Availability Requirements

Required

24-hour shifts
Call only
In-house call during the day based on patient volume
Beeper call overnight for trauma
Call response time: 20 minutes
Admissions required

Licenses, Certifications & QualificationsRequired License

Active Arkansas Medical License

Required Board Certification

Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery/Acute Care Surgery

Required Certification

ATLS

Practice Details

Level III Trauma Center
Acute Care Surgery and Trauma coverage
Covers all trauma activations
Immediate coverage need due to staffing shortage
Average daily census: 30+ patients
Acute care surgical consults and urgent operative cases

Clinical Responsibilities

Acute Care Surgery
Trauma call coverage
Emergency Department consults
Urgent and emergent operative cases
Inpatient admissions and management
