Senior Brand & Intellectual Property Counsel (Contract)

Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Brand & Intellectual Property Counsel to join its legal team on a contract basis. This is an opportunity to work on a sophisticated global brand and IP portfolio, partnering with senior business leaders and legal stakeholders on high-impact matters across trademark, copyright, licensing, enforcement, marketing, and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities include: • Advising on trademark clearance, prosecution, enforcement, and global portfolio management

\n

• Providing counsel on copyright, content, licensing, and digital rights issues

\n

• Drafting and negotiating marketing, agency, licensing, and other commercial agreements

\n

• Managing infringement claims and brand protection initiatives

\n

• Supporting strategic transactions, M&A, venture investments, and global brand initiatives

\n

• Advising on emerging legal issues involving AI, generative AI content, and new technologies

\n

• Partnering closely with legal, marketing, product, compliance, and executive leadership teams

\n

Qualifications: • J.D. and active bar membership in good standing

\n

• Significant experience in trademark, copyright, licensing, and brand protection matters

\n

• Prior in-house experience with a major corporation, consumer brand, technology company, or financial institution preferred

\n

• Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex legal matters and provide practical, business-oriented advice

\n

• Strong drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

\n

• Experience advising on digital content, technology, and AI-related issues is highly desirable

\n
