Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Valera, your responsibilities will include:

• Directing physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and enhancing muscle function in accordance with each patient's care plan.
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients by utilizing diagnostic tests to assess muscle, nerve, joint, and functional capabilities.
• Overseeing physical therapy assistants to ensure the proper execution of treatment plans while providing guidance and support.
• Administering various therapeutic exercises, techniques, and modalities, such as manual therapy, traction, and the application of physical agents.
• Making informed recommendations for modifications to care plans based on ongoing assessments of patient progress.
• Actively participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop, review, and adjust care plans, thereby ensuring a holistic approach to patient treatment.
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to document patient outcomes.
• Educating clients and their families on home exercise programs and the proper use of therapeutic devices to foster independence and facilitate recovery.
• Consulting with healthcare providers and other team members to address patient needs and enhance overall treatment strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of patients, including those with acute injuries, chronic pain conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, and age-related disabilities. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active license to practice physical therapy in the state of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety.

Compensation and Benefits

Valera Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
