Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting and finance team in Reidsville, NC. This position will support day-to-day accounting operations and play an important role in the monthly and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on general ledger experience, strong reconciliation skills, and the ability to investigate discrepancies and ensure financial information is accurate and properly supported. Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts. Perform bank and balance sheet account reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end close activities. Research and resolve account discrepancies and unusual transactions. Maintain accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other accounting schedules. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed. Assist with internal and external audit requests. Analyze account activity and help identify variances or inconsistencies. Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. Assist with special projects and process improvements within the accounting department. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Hands-on experience with journal entries, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliations. Understanding of GAAP and standard month-end close procedures. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including experience working with formulas, lookups, and pivot tables. Experience with QuickBooks required Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across departments.
