In the event of a conflict between the language of the official Plan Documents and this document, the language of the official Plan Documents will control.ACA Section 1557 Nondiscrimination Notice*The John Deere Health Benefit Plans for Salaried Employees and The John Deere Benefit Plan for Wage Employees comply with applicable Federal civil rights laws and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, status as a protected veteran, or status as a qualified individual with disability.***Primary Location:** United States (US) - Iowa - Rock Valley**Function:** Factory Engineering (CA)**Title:** Machining Manufacturing Engineer - 121563## **Your Responsibilities**As a **Machnining Manufacturing Engineer** for **John Deere ATI Products** located in **Rock Valley, IA,** you will:* Implement and monitor machining processes for new and existing parts including; develop CNC machining programs, optimize machining cycle times, quality planning activities, process monitoring, and product inspection.* Development of process routings; procurement of tooling, fixtures, gaging, and as needed justification and procurement of machining equipment.* Assist in team studies related to capacity, productivity, and efficiency.* Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.**VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position*** 3 or more years of experience as a manufacturing engineer in a component manufacturing environment related to the following processes: turning, milling, and drilling* Experience with machine programming related to cast iron or steel processes* Experience with leading projects in a manufacturing environment* Contribute to the analysis of information and the specification of the methods and process steps, as well as the plant, machinery, and equipment, required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems to deliver the end product within specified cost and quality parameters* Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions* Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and the evaluation of the effectiveness ofthose standards* Carry out inspections under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and make recommendations to senior colleagues on the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements* Deliver required outcomes by coordinating activities of subcontractors and suppliers and acting as a primary point of contact for them while working within an established contract management plan## **What Skills You Need- Continued*** Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them* Help others get the most out of knowledge management systems by offering support and advice* Carry out a range of product development and engineering activities* Use established systems to analyze customer needs and define and deliver products* Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals* Experience with the use of AutoCAD, CAM or related software* Experience with leading and supporting cross functional teams for projects of moderate scope.* Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments.* Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.* Making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.* Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.* Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.* Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals## **Education**Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or technology related field preferred, or equivalent related work experience.**What You'll Get**At John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
