As a Security Officer - Department Store Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. In this role, you will support day-to-day operations with a caring, agile, and reliable approach, working as part of a team that values innovation and acts with integrity.

- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a busy retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observed activity and notifying appropriate contacts.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, stock areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and associate traffic, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance issues to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
- Support loss prevention and store operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with crowd management, and following post orders for opening, closing, and after-hours patrol activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
