As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. - Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a financial institution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including lobbies, offices, parking areas, and perimeter access points, to help identify unusual activity and/or potential policy violations.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials where required, and help to deter unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, and/or disruptions within the location.
- Support cash handling and other sensitive operations with a visible armed presence, following post orders and applicable laws while maintaining professional interactions with employees, customers, and visitors.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- A 40 caliber endorsement is required.
- A California weapons permit with 9mm caliber endorsement is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
