Salary: $125,000 – $145,000 annually, DOE
E mployment Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, In-Person
Job Summary:
TDL Staffing is looking for an experienced Architectural Design Manager to lead the design vision and coordination of commercial and institutional projects in Fairbanks, AK. This leadership role requires a blend of creative design direction and project oversight.
Applicants from outside Alaska are encouraged to apply — relocation support may be available for qualified candidates considering a move.
Holding an NCARB certification is the national registry for architects and can facilitate a quick transition to licensure in Alaska.
The successful candidate will be an inspiring leader who mentors design teams, fosters collaboration, and ensures projects meet aesthetic, functional, and regulatory standards. Strong communication, leadership, and construction knowledge are key.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead design direction and development for building projects
Manage multidisciplinary design teams and coordinate with contractors and consultants
Oversee project timelines, budgets, and quality control
Ensure compliance with codes, client goals, and industry best practices
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited institution, earned within the last 7 years
Licensed Architect in Alaska, or eligible for licensure through comity
Proven experience leading design teams and managing architectural projects
A background check will be conducted as part of the hiring process
