For more information please visit: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain Tool Room and Tool Crib staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees. Ensure staff performance through coaching, counseling, planning, monitoring and appraising work results, conducting training and implementing and enforcing systems, policies and procedures. Schedule, assign and monitor work requests; gather resources and maintain productivity standards. Act as point of contact for visitors and requests so tool room employees can continue their work uninterrupted. Provide quality service to internal and external customers by enforcing quality and customer service standards. Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering staff to improve tool and fixture designs plant-wide and make recommendations for improvement of tool fixtures and equipment for use in the tool room. Maintain a safe and healthy working environment by establishing and enforcing standards and adherence to legal regulations. Maintain own professional and technical knowledge by attending training, tool shows and reviewing technical and professional publications. Train Tool Crib and Tool Room team members on crib procedures, tool handling, safety, and SAP systems. Identify and lead initiatives to improve tool availability, reduce downtime, and optimize costs. Drive standardization of tool storage, naming conventions, and crib processes. Ensure compliance with company safety and environmental policies in all tool handling and storage practices. Qualifications Education: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college/technical school and 5 years of experience in machining or a Journeyman’s card in a related machining field or commensurate machining and management experience.
