Step into a meaningful role supporting vibrant students as a Special Education Teacher in the Phoenix and Glendale areas. Multiple positions are available for skilled professionals who are passionate about making a lasting difference in the lives of children across several elementary schools.
Openings include full-time, part-time, and resource positions in a variety of settings: behavior programs, cross-category classrooms, Autism-focused classes, and special needs preschool. Whether you thrive working with young learners in self-contained environments or providing critical resource support, there’s a rewarding opportunity waiting.
Desired experience and qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Educator Certification
- Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Experience in behavior support programs, CPI certification preferred for behavior program roles
- Background in moderate to intensive cognitive disabilities or Autism spectrum preferred for Autism and MID program roles
- Preschool position requires, or prefers, both EC and SPED certification or EC experience
- Flexibility to work full-time or part-time onsite
- Commitment to individualized instruction and inclusion
- Dedication to collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, compliant instruction tailored to diverse student needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with staff, therapists, and families to support each child’s success
- Adapt lessons for a range of learning styles and abilities
- Manage classroom behavior with proactive strategies
