OPPORTUNITY Immediate opening for an experienced STAFF ACCOUNTANT in the Fort Worth corporate office of a growing commercial real estate management company. This position will be responsible for the accounting and preparation of financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial/office real estate properties.This position reports to the CFO and works closely with property managers and outside investors/partners.This position is fully in the office. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES The activities listed here are not all-inclusive; rather, they indicate the types of activities normally performed by this position.The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate core competencies in the following areas: Post daily ACH deposits tenants’ accounts. Complete weekly cash flow/payable holdbacks Complete tenant lease billings/adjustments Completion of monthly financial statements for a portfolio of commercial/office properties. Review and process internal renovation/draw requests. Assist property managers in preparing annual budgets. Complete monthly cash analysis Complete yearly NNN reconciliations for tenants. Compile financial work papers for audits/reviews/tax return preparation. Perform other special projects, historical research, financial analysis, and other duties as assigned. Possess a solid understanding of accrual accounting. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. PREFERRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Experience with Yardi software Familiar with accrual accounting Organized and articulate Detail oriented Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Self-sufficient in monitoring work unit and/or project deadlines.
