Make It With Possible.You will support transportation operations in term of service, cost, health and safety, quality, food defense, sustainability, legal requirements and policies compliance. You will provide team leadership and direction for the transportation organization. In addition, you will implement our transportation strategy and effectively execute operations to ensure optimum logistics solutions while supporting various routes-to-market, and balancing service and cost. To excel in this role, you will work collaboratively with internal and external (third-party logistics vendors) business partners to ensure effective management, timely solutions and execution.How you will contributeYou will:Deliver value by delivering on the strategy, ensuring optimization across all modes of transportation, balancing service and costBe responsible for all our safety, service and cost key performance initiativesHave end-to-end responsibility to serve our customers and work collaboratively with internal and external (third-party logistics vendors) business partners to ensure effective management, timely solutions and executionDevelop transport solutions and undertake regular business reviews with vendors to review performance and support selection and negotiationsEnsure the right product at the right quantity gets to right place at the right time (damage free)Manage risk management, ensuring continuity of supply through demand forecasting, transportation capacity management and supplier relationshipsLead the business toward best-in-class practices by innovating and championing continuous improvement by harnessing internal and external inputsWhat you will bringA desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:Experience setting and executing strategies in supply chain and/or logistics in a matrix organizationExtensive understanding and expertise in the fields of transportation operations, third-party logistics management, transportation management software and/or transportation control tower functionsExperience in concurrently managing a large number of third-party transportation suppliers with significant budgetsNegotiation and influencing skills, able to communicate and build relationships effectivelyKnowledge of international transportation network design, customer service and collaborationExperience leading and motivating a high-performance teamFinancial budget planning, analysis and reporting skillsEntrepreneurial approach with a focus on continuous improvement, digitalization and innovationAdditional Job DescriptionMore about this roleWhat you need to know about this position:This hybrid role is based at our Regional Distribution Center in Carlisle, PA.The position focuses on optimizing carrier performance, cost efficiency, and regional KPI achievement while supporting our service and carrier strategy initiatives.The role will oversee logistics operations across our supply chain network, managing shipments from/to: Suppliers, Bakeries, Regional Distribution Centers, External Manufacturers to our Customers and Branches.What extra ingredients you will bring:Strong data analytics, financial acumen, vendor management, Carrier management relationship building and continuous improvement approach to your daily job.Education / Certifications:Bachelor's degree at minimum or 15+ years of industry experience / retail experience could also work.Job specific requirements:15+ years of transportation and/or logistics experience.CPG or Food/Beverage experience preferred, proficiency with logistics software (TMS, WMS, ERP systems), Data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI), Carrier negotiation and relationship management, Communication and cross-functional collaborationTravel requirements:20% - 30% travel.Work schedule: Mon-Fri normal business hours and on demand afterhours when needed. Salary and Benefits: The base salary range for this position is $122,000 to $167,750; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
