Centerless Grinder Operator

We are seeking an experienced Centerless Grinder Operator to support the production of precision metal components used in demanding aerospace and industrial applications. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring centerless grinding equipment to produce parts that meet tight dimensional tolerances and strict quality requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate centerless grinding machines for production runs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Adjust machine settings, speeds, feeds, guides, and tooling to maintain required dimensions.
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Monitor part dimensions, surface finish, and overall quality throughout the production process.
• Make machine adjustments and offsets as necessary to maintain tolerances.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic machine, tooling, and quality issues.
• Complete required production and inspection documentation.
• Maintain tooling and equipment in proper operating condition.
• Follow established safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating centerless grinding equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with precision metal components, fasteners, aerospace parts, or similar products preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand dimensional tolerances.
• Proficient with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform machine setups and adjustments.
• Comfortable working in a high precision production environment.
