Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor-Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Position Summary The School of Nursing, within the Hairston College of Health and Human Sciences at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, is seeking an assistant/associate professor whose teaching and scholarly research agenda is focused on Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing. Primary responsibilities include student‑centered teaching and clinical instruction of undergraduate and graduate courses, student advising, mentoring, recruitment, curriculum development, and participation in program assessment and accreditation procedures. Key Responsibilities Incorporate modern pedagogical skills in teaching nursing courses to undergraduate and graduate students in psychiatric mental health nursing. Supervise and support student projects for the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. Provide service to the SON, the college, the university, and to appropriate community and professional organizations. Qualifications Candidate must hold a doctoral degree in nursing, a current unrestricted license as a registered nurse in North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain one), and a national certification as an APRN Certified Psychiatric‑Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
