Step into a pivotal role supporting students across K-12 levels as a Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist in a dynamic school environment. Collaborate onsite to foster communication skills and academic achievement among a diverse student population. You’ll work with elementary, middle, and high school students, providing expert guidance and personalized care, while being part of an enthusiastic, multidisciplinary team.
Key Qualifications:
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required
- Valid ISBE PEL with School Support Personnel endorsement (SL) and Illinois State License (IDFPR)
- Comfort working with students in any grade K-12, including elementary, middle, and high school settings
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for supporting diverse learners
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy and comprehensive assessments for students with speech and language needs across various school settings
- Create Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and document student progress in alignment with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop communication strategies that promote academic and social growth
- Adapt interventions to meet each student’s unique linguistic and cultural background
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, contributing to holistic case management
