Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by providing vital speech and language services. This full-time contract opportunity offers a dynamic setting for experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) eager to support a diverse range of students in an educational environment.
As an itinerant SLP, you'll serve two school sites, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to help children achieve communication milestones. The position requires both English and Spanish fluency to support bilingual students and their families effectively. Start your impactful school year on August 27, 2026, with your assignment continuing through June 9, 2027.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and current ASHA CCC-SLP certification
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement and Illinois SLP license
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Passion for collaborative, student-centered service delivery
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide direct therapy for students with communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Manage documentation aligned with state and district guidelines
- Coordinate schedules and services across two assigned campuses, maintaining flexibility as caseloads vary (average workload is approximately 45 students)
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide progress updates
