Job Summary Lead Patient Care Technician is a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team providing direct care to behavioral health patients, overseeing PCTs assigned to the shift, coordinating with RNs, PCTs, and Behavioral Health Medical Practitioners to ensure a safe environment and quality care. The Lead PCT is responsible for the safety and operational effectiveness of the unit, identifying safety concerns, directing staff during non‑violent interventions and seclusion/restraint episodes, providing direct patient care when needed, and maintaining full knowledge of program policy and procedures. Responsibilities Provide direct care to behavioral health patients. Oversee and support PCTs assigned to the shift. Coordinate with RNs, PCTs, and BHMPs to ensure safety and quality care. Maintain safety and operational effectiveness of the assigned unit, identifying environmental and patient‑specific safety concerns. Direct staff during non‑violent physical interventions, seclusion and restraint episodes. Provide direct patient care when needed. Ensure full knowledge of program policy and procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher preferred. One or more years of health‑care related experience with exposure to behavioral and medical crisis situations. Emergency Medical Technician certification (valid in Arizona) preferred but not required. Certified Nurse Assistant certification (current and valid in Arizona) preferred but not required.
