Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable professional for a contract opportunity in Perris, CA within the government and public sector. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys accurate transaction processing, vendor coordination, invoice review, payment preparation, and maintaining clean financial records. The Accounts Payable role supports a stable, process-driven environment where accuracy, accountability, and teamwork are essential. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable payments through data entry, batch processing and batch report logging. Prepare documentation for payment, process weekly warrant writing, and ensure timely payment completion. Enter, verify, audit, code, and batch accounts payable transactions in an automated accounting system. Match purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, payments, and backup documentation for accuracy. Research discrepancies, unauthorized purchases, allocation issues, and budget appropriation questions. Communicate with vendors as needed and obtain additional approvals or signature authorizations. Compensation and Benefits Pay range: $31.59 to $39.35 per hour. Job type: Contract/Temporary. Location: Perris, CA.
