ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ASSOCIATE

POSITION: ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ASSOCIATEOVERVIEW: Responsible for performing accounts payable and other general accounting tasks, handling vendor correspondence, and serving as the backup to the front desk and other admin functions. This position reports directly to the Assistant Controller.SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for reconciling and processing beverage invoices by verifying the Bill of Lading and Purchase entries for accuracy.Resolves purchase order and invoice discrepancies by conducting the research and preparing documentation to support the necessary adjustmentsPerforms daily posting of accounts payable, EFT and ACH paymentsSubmits proper documentation for approval and processing payments by checkReconciles accounts payable aging to the GLEnsures credits are received for outstanding memos and returned cooperageVerifies supplier accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactionsDocuments and/or updates tasks and/or procedures, as needed.Assist with processing and reconciliation of supplier billbacks and rebates, as neededExpected to cross-train and provide back-up for various other accounting dutiesProvides administrative and clerical support as necessaryProtects organization's value by keeping information confidentialAny other task associated with this position and as determined by the Assistant Controller, Controller or senior management.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Working knowledge of accounting principles and good analytical skills are requiredPC proficiency, knowledge of Microsoft Office, experience with accounting software and online platforms are requiredA keen eye for detail, thoroughness, and excellent data entry skills are requiredAbility to calculate, analyze, and post manual and automated transactions and investigate any irregularitiesCapacity to apply experience and education along with the ability to learn company specificsReliance on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the jobMust have excellent work habits, outstanding organizational and time management skills, and ability to meet deadlinesExceptional communication skills, both written and oral, are a mustFlexibility and willingness to learn and perform a variety of accounting tasks as needed #J-18808-Ljbffr
