Your Role:

• Deliver targeted instruction and support to middle school students with developmental disabilities and behavioral or emotional needs.
• Implement and manage individualized education plans (IEPs), using both push-in and pull-out models.
• Develop differentiated lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families to foster a cohesive support network for each child.
• Manage a manageable caseload of up to 20 students, ensuring focused and individualized attention.
• Maintain organized documentation of student progress, behavior, and IEP compliance requirements.
• Participate in school meetings and contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture.

What We’re Seeking:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification for North Carolina, or ability to obtain.
• Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities and behavioral or emotional needs.
• Deep understanding of IEP development and implementation, especially with push-in/pull-out strategies.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
• A proactive, creative, and enthusiastic approach to adapting academic content and supporting students.
