Director of Infrastructure Engineering - Firewall Services

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Hands-on experience implementing ZTNA and/or SSE/SASE capabilities in hybrid on-premises and cloud environments, integrated with firewall policies and identity signals
• Experience with firewall policy management and analysis platforms such as Tufin, AlgoSec, or FireMon, and related governance processes
• Experience with micro-segmentation and identity-aware access patterns, including workload tagging, posture or context signals, and least privilege
• Strong experience with observability tools such as Splunk, Elastic, or Grafana, including telemetry pipelines and operational analytics
• Relevant certifications, such as PCNSE, Fortinet NSE 7/8, AWS Advanced Networking, or Azure Network Engineer
• Experience operating in highly regulated environments, including audits, regulatory engagement, and evidence-ready controls
• A track record of leading large-scale transformations with measurable improvements in reliability, change speed, and security posture

• Lead engineering and operations for our firewall services across on-premises and public cloud environments, partnering with Network, Cloud, Cybersecurity, and Identity teams to provide secure, reliable, scalable connectivity
• Set the multi-year strategy and roadmap for firewall services, segmentation, and Zero Trust enforcement, and translate it into measurable outcomes
• Deliver complex initiatives such as platform modernization, migrations, cloud expansion, and resiliency improvements while managing timelines and risk
• Own architecture, standards, lifecycle management, and global fleet health for our Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet platforms
• Manage firewall policies and rules at enterprise scale, including intake, design, risk-based review and approval, recertification, audit evidence, and ongoing cleanup
• Expand automation and orchestration using APIs and CI/CD to standardize changes, reduce manual work, and improve speed and quality, using policy-as-code or infrastructure-as-code where applicable
• Provide consistent firewall capabilities across Azure and AWS, including native and virtual firewall patterns, centralized governance, and repeatable deployment blueprints
• Advance our ZTNA vision and integrate it with on-premises SSE capabilities and firewall enforcement to support identity- and application-aware access
• Set logging, telemetry, and monitoring standards for our firewall estate and ensure security operations receive high-quality data for detection, investigation, and operational dashboards
• Engage senior stakeholders and align delivery with compliance, risk, security, and service requirements through clear governance, reporting, and escalation
• Build and develop a high-performing team with strong operational discipline, rapid execution, continuous improvement, and evidence-based decision-making
