Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly residents to accurately identify their specific emotional, cognitive, and behavioral care needs.

• Deliver individualized and group counseling sessions that effectively address a variety of emotional challenges, including grief, depression, anxiety, and adaptation to life transitions that often accompany aging.

• Collaborate seamlessly with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to create and implement comprehensive, person-centered care plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances and preferences.

• Educate families and staff on best practices for supporting the emotional well-being of aging individuals, enhancing overall quality of life and care.

• Guide clients through grief and loss counseling, providing support during end-of-life processes and helping families cope with impending losses.

• Introduce cognitive stimulation programs and mental health interventions designed to strengthen mental acuity and promote emotional stability in the elderly.

• Utilize evidence-based methodologies to track progress and adapt therapeutic approaches as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be the geriatric population, which includes elderly clients dealing with various mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, grief, and the emotional impact of chronic illnesses or disabilities. You will employ a compassionate approach, enhancing your clients’ understanding and coping strategies to promote prolonged mental health and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification in Washington State.

• A minimum of four years of recent, relevant experience providing mental health support specifically to the geriatric population.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging between USD 65,000 and USD 95,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a sign-on bonus to welcome motivated professionals to our team.
