Job Description
Title: Emergency Department Nurse - Emergency Department

Schedule: 12-hour shifts; options for 36 or 48-hour contracts

Assignment Details: Minimum assignment length: 10 weeks; short-term travel assignment

Requirements:
- 2 years of Emergency Department experience (1.5 years may be considered)
- Trauma: Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma experience preferred
- Strongly preferred travel experience; first-time travelers may be considered if other requirements are met
- Required certifications: TNCC, ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH (NIH can pend until compliance document due date)
- Charting system: Cerner
- No local clinicians within 100-mile radius

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Conduct triage and resuscitation/trauma care for patients
- Administer medications, including IV medications, and manage admits/ED holding
- Recognize and manage dysrhythmias and administer blood products
- Provide care for ventilators and central/arterial lines, as well as basic procedural sedation

Compliance / Notes:
- Compliance documents due 10 days prior to start; onboarding begins within 1-2 weeks of signing
- Drug screen required within 30 days of start
- Must work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles (Thanksgiving & day after; Christmas Eve & Christmas Day; NYE & NYD)
- No Christmas RTO; RTO > 7 days requires approval; no RTO allowed on the first 7 days or the last day of the contract
- Orientation approximately 24 hours; some modules may be billable up to 4 hours
