About the Position

Experience in Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics 2. Floating required to all medical surgical, telemetry, and progressive care units within the facility 3. Proficient in Epic charting system Description: The position requires a minimum of one year of experience. First-time travelers are accepted. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. The float will be required to work in all medical surgical, telemetry, and progressive care units within the facility. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-5 in PCU and 1:5-6 in medical surgical and telemetry. Staffing support includes interdisciplinary teams such as IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The facility has a variety of patient diagnoses, including all potential medical surgical, telemetry, and progressive care diagnoses. Floating between specialties is mandatory. Work schedules require coverage for every other weekend, averaging six weekends during a 13-week contract. Travelers will be expected to work if assigned a major holiday. Full compliance is necessary to start on time. Modules related to the position are completed during orientation. Candidates must finalize all requests for time off at the time of submission.
