Work Environment

This is an onsite position focused primarily in the home care environment, providing flexibility and autonomy to work directly with patients in their individual settings. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients in their homes, assessing mobility, pain levels, and overall functionality.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific therapeutic needs and goals.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Document all treatments, response to therapy, and progress in both electronic health records and patient notes, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on exercises, pain management techniques, and the proper use of assistive devices to promote independence.
• Regularly re-evaluate patients and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure that therapeutic goals are met.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance your clinical skills and stay informed of the latest advancements in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse patient demographic, including children and adults with various diagnoses ranging from orthopedic injuries to post-surgical rehabilitation. Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current Physical Therapy License in the State of Virginia is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
• Proficient in the use of electronic health record systems and Word processing software.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a home care setting.

Preferred Experience

While prior work experience is not mandatory, two years of experience as a licensed physical therapist is preferred to contribute to the seamless delivery of care. Familiarity with home care practices, patient education, and rehabilitation therapy techniques will be advantageous in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
