Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients referred by physicians to determine their individual needs and goals.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that utilize research-driven methodologies tailored to each patient's specific conditions and outcomes.
• Implement therapies and techniques in various settings, including individual sessions and consultations across diverse patient demographics.
• Provide guidance and education to patients and their families regarding exercises, rehabilitation protocols, and preventative measures to enhance recovery.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care that maximizes patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans as required by state regulations and organizational policies.
• Engage actively in quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinic performance and patient satisfaction.
• Meet the established productivity standards and other performance metrics set by management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with a varied patient demographic, including individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, pediatric patients, those with neurologic conditions, and athletes in sports rehabilitation. Your role is pivotal in helping these patients achieve significant functional improvements and return to their daily activities and passions, reinforcing our commitment to keeping them in motion.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current and valid state license to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Ability to create a positive and engaging environment for patients, ensuring that their emotional and physical needs are met.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a relevant setting is highly preferred.
• Experience working with a diverse patient population across various specialties, particularly in outpatient settings.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with patients, fostering long-lasting relationships.
