Jr. Accountant

Junior AccountantThe Junior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with various accounting duties, banking activities and processes, in support of the company's day-to-day activities.The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Support Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable functionsAssist with weekly Claims & CommissionsAssist with Billing and Account ReconciliationsProvide support for monthly/year-end accounting functions and audit preparationSupport payroll processingPerform basic administrative functions such as mailing, filing, scanning, downloading and sortingUpdate spreadsheets for various tasksCorrect, process, reconcile various accounting documentsProduce financial reportsAssist with other accounting projectsPerform other duties as assignedMinimum AA degree in accounting or financeMinimum two years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping, finance, or related fieldKnowledge of GAAPPreferred experience with ACH, wire transfers (local and international), banking experienceStrong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsBasic computer processing skills, including experience with Microsoft OfficeAdvanced Excel skillsKnowledge of basic accounting terminology and practicesHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to find and correct errorsPrioritization abilitiesThe following job-related working conditions are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
