Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized evaluations and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans addressing both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that focus on language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Engage in patient and family education, empowering progress beyond the clinic.
• Contribute to occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the recovery journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation that meets state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay informed with the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• If not yet ASHA-certified, completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
