Job Title: Manufacturing Technician I
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Pay rate: $30 per hour.
Location: San Francisco CA

Summary

The Manufacturing Technician Specialist (Logistics) plays a key role in facilitating the end-to-end flow of hazardous materials, R&D materials, clinical drug products, and inventory within our organization. This position is responsible for the compliant, accurate, and timely execution of shipping, receiving, inventory management, and documentation activities, in alignment with internal SOPs, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. This role is 100% onsite due to the essential nature of supporting operational workflows and product movement.

Key Responsibilities

• Process shipments of hazardous materials, R&D materials, and product samples, including preparation of international shipping documentation and packaging in accordance with all regulatory guidelines.
• Receive, track, and dispense finished goods, work-in-progress (WIP) inventory, and packaging materials for manufacturing operations.
• Accurately pick, pack, and ship clinical drug products to both domestic and international destinations.
• Manage logistics for rejected, returned, or expired products, including coordination and scheduling of product destruction with authorized vendors.
• Maintain and update inventory systems for all drug products, ensuring data integrity and compliance with company and industry requirements.
• Perform regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and reconcile inventory records to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Ensure all equipment and work areas are kept in a clean, safe, and compliant manner and operate material-handling equipment following all safety protocols.
• Fully understand and adhere to applicable SOPs; proactively recommend improvements as needed and participate in the training of new team members.
• Use internal systems, databases, and RF scanners to accurately enter and maintain records; file and store documentation according to corporate retention policies.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 0–5 years of relevant logistics, inventory, or warehouse experience.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, inventory control concepts, and inventory management systems.
• IATA certification and experience with international shipping documentation strongly preferred.
• Ability to meet TSA requirements, including successful completion of a background check, and obtain Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP) certification.
• Previous experience with warehouse material-handling equipment preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize workload.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime as business needs require.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Schedule and Requirements

• Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Onsite attendance is required to handle, pick, pack, and ship materials; receive and process inventory; operate equipment; access controlled storage areas; conduct cycle counts; manage hazardous materials; coordinate destruction activities; and maintain the warehouse environment according to safety procedures.
