Commercial Litigation Associate - Denver

Position Overview Foley & Lardner is seeking an associate with 3‑4 years (Class of 2022‑2023) of business litigation experience to join the Commercial Litigation Practice Group in our Denver office. Responsibilities Persuasive legal writer and oral advocate with substantial experience with complex business litigation matters in state and federal courts Conducting and managing written and document discovery Researching and drafting pleadings, motions, and other court filings Conducting/defending depositions Preparing witnesses for testimony Appearing for status conferences Arguing motions in both state and federal court Participation in settlement conferences and negotiations (preferred) Experience with trial preparation (preferred) Qualifications Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, exceptional work ethic Comfortable interacting directly with partners and clients Well‑rounded, dynamic, highly motivated lawyer who demonstrates the ability to thrive in a sophisticated practice in a busy, collaborative environment Strong academic credentials required JD from an ABA‑approved law school, good standing, active member of the Colorado Bar Admission to the Colorado Bar required; admission to the California Bar strongly preferred Current judicial clerks must apply directly; may not be submitted by a legal recruiter Salary and Benefits In support of transparency and equity, Foley provides salary ranges for all positions. The expected salary range for this position is $260,000‑$310,000, determined by education, experience, internal pay equity at Foley, and other factors permitted by law.
