Project Manager - Manufacturing / Power Systems

Pay: $100K-$112K

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated, results-driven Project Manager to oversee complex customer projects within a large-scale manufacturing environment. This position manages projects from order acceptance through final delivery and closeout, ensuring schedules, contractual requirements, financial milestones, and customer expectations are successfully met.
The Project Manager will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Sales Operations, Sourcing, Logistics, Service, and customers to coordinate project activities and maintain clear, proactive communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage transformer and engineered-product projects from order acceptance through delivery and closeout.
• Coordinate projects across Engineering, Operations, Sourcing, Logistics, Service, and other teams.
• Review customer specifications, contracts, and requirements for accurate execution.
• Lead kickoffs, cross-functional meetings, customer updates, and closeout meetings.
• Maintain schedules and regularly update customers and internal stakeholders.
• Use SAP Project Systems and other systems for scheduling, resource planning, billing, delivery, and project performance.
• Track milestones, financial performance, invoicing, change orders, and contract requirements.
• Proactively manage change orders and identify financial or scheduling risks.
• Calculate applicable contractual liquidated damages, penalties, and escalation requirements.
• Coordinate approval drawings and documentation to keep projects on schedule.
• Work with technical teams to answer customer questions on product capabilities and project requirements.
• Coordinate customer inspections, testing, plant visits, and tours.
• Help resolve issues delaying customer payments or project completion.
• Analyze and report project performance in internal reviews.
• Use SAP and Qlik for daily project management.
• Communicate frequently and professionally to support a positive customer experience.
• Show ownership, accountability, organization, and follow-through on every project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field.
• Technical project management experience in manufacturing, engineered products, industrial, or similar settings.
• Strong scheduling, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to interpret customer specifications, contracts, schedules, and technical requirements.
• Strong cross-functional communication and relationship building.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and customer communication skills.
• Ability to balance priorities and changing project requirements.
• Experience handling confidential or sensitive business information.
• Strong organization and ability to complete projects independently.

• Project Management coursework or certification, including PMP, preferred.
• Experience with SAP Project Systems preferred.
• Power transformer, electrical equipment, or engineered-to-order manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of transformer applications and power system design preferred.
• Familiarity with transformer mechanical, electrical, and control systems preferred.
• Knowledge of IEEE, NEMA, and ANSI standards for transformer design and applications preferred.
• Qlik or similar reporting and analytics experience preferred.
