Join our dynamic team as a Medical Assistant in an urgent care facility, where you'll play a vital role in patient care and administrative support. This role requires a commitment of 3 to 6 months, with the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient experiences and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform back office duties, including checking in and checking out patients.
• Record vital signs and log patient information into the NexGen EMR/EHR system.
• Verify patient insurance details.
• Cover front desk duties when the receptionist is on lunch.
• Schedule appointments and manage electronic health records.
• Assist with patient care in both back and front office settings.

• 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Proficiency in using NexGen EMR system.
• Ability to work three 12-hour shifts per week, including weekends.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

• Experience in drawing blood is a plus.
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification is a plus.
• Experience in both back and front office medical settings.

The role is based in an urgent care facility in West Covina, operating from 10:30 am to 11:00 pm, scheduled for three days per week, including weekends. The team is part of a large physician-led network in Southern California, committed to providing quality healthcare. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Covina, CA.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
