Direct Hire
North Attleboro, MA
Pay Rate: $22-24/hr
Shifts: 

• 1st Shift: 5:30am-2:00pm or 6:00am-2:30pm 
• Split Shift: 9:30am-6:00pm
• 2nd Shift:  1:30pm-10:00pm

 

What’s a typical day as a Powder Operator? You’ll be:

• Producing precipitated powders using required production and laboratory equipment
• Creating composition mix materials and specialty raw materials as necessary
• Reading and understanding process instructions, worksheets, and quality procedures
• Safely working with chemicals and performing required analyses
• Maintaining and calibrating equipment as needed
• Moving materials safely to the next operation using handling equipment
• Performing simple chemical testing, such as titration, and using Omron control systems for process operations
• Following all safety policies, procedures, and using proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Suggesting process improvements (with approval from technical personnel)

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Can use proper PPE and follow safety protocols in the work area
• Possess basic math skills (adding and subtracting) and can use a calculator
• Have experience with hand tools (scoops, scrapers, wrench) – helpful but not required
• Are able to follow instructions from technical personnel, especially during experimental lots
• Have one year of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment (preferred, but willing to train the right candidate)
• Are able to understand and use control/monitoring systems such as Omron
• Hold a high school diploma or GED
