Human Resources Manager

Location: Stockton, CA Compensation: $50–$60/hour (DOE) Potential: Opportunity to transition into a permanent position Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Interim Human Resources Manager to provide immediate, hands‑on HR leadership for a growing organization in Stockton, California. This is a standalone HR role requiring an experienced professional who can confidently manage all day‑to‑day human resources functions while supporting approximately 120 employees . The ideal candidate is professionally fluent in both English and Spanish , thrives in fast‑paced environments, maintains the highest level of confidentiality, and can quickly step in with minimal training. Key Responsibilities Serve as the organization’s sole Human Resources Manager. Manage all day‑to‑day HR operations. Handle employee relations matters and workplace investigations. Administer leaves of absence and time‑off requests. Ensure employment law compliance and adherence to company policies and the Employee Handbook. Process biweekly payroll through ADP Workforce Now (approximately 120 employees). Provide guidance and support on all general HR matters. Partner with leadership to address organizational and workforce needs. Qualifications Minimum of 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience. Previous experience serving as an HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist. Professional fluency in both English and Spanish is required. Experience conducting employee investigations and resolving employee relations issues. Working knowledge of California employment law. Experience processing payroll using ADP Workforce Now preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism. Schedule This assignment is expected to begin immediately , with the selected consultant starting no later than August 17, 2026 . The anticipated schedule will generally fall between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. , depending on business needs and the consultant’s availability. This engagement is anticipated to last a minimum of two months , with the potential to become a permanent position for the right individual.
