Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00), every other weekend, block schedules required.
Job Description
The Respiratory Therapist will provide care in a short-term acute care setting that includes Level II Trauma and Level II Pediatric Trauma capabilities. The position requires the therapist to respond to various clinical scenarios, including floor care, emergency response, and rapid response situations, while working with a diverse patient population across different age groups.
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to patients of all ages, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
- Manage ventilators, administer aerosol medications, and perform tracheostomy care.
- Conduct arterial blood gas analysis and interpret results.
- Respond to emergencies and participate in code situations as needed.
- Document patient care accurately using the Epic charting system.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Must have experience in emergency department settings and trauma units.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current Washington State Licensure for Respiratory Therapy.
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
