This position is primarily remote, offering flexibility and convenience for both our counselors and clients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations to understand each client's needs and create tailored treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions across various formats, including individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions.

• Implement a range of therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, adapting techniques to meet specific client challenges.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure holistic and integrated care for each client.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of clinical records, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements in mental health practice.

• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest research and therapeutic techniques in the field of mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LPC will work with a diverse client population, including individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and relationship issues. By fostering a therapeutic rapport, the counselor will empower clients to explore their emotions, set achievable goals, and work toward positive life changes while respecting their unique experiences and backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia.

• A minimum of two years of experience providing counseling services, preferably in a clinical or outpatient setting.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with specialized experience in areas such as trauma, substance abuse, family therapy, or couples counseling will be given preference. A solid foundation in therapeutic modalities relevant to our client population will greatly enhance the counselor’s effectiveness in this role.
