Medical Malpractice Paralegal (Onsite - Downtown Miami, FL)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join a growing legal team in downtown Miami . This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and has a strong background supporting medical malpractice cases from inception through trial.

Key Responsibilities

• Support attorneys in all phases of medical malpractice litigation , including pre-suit investigation, discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial activities
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence
• Coordinate and manage medical records retrieval, review, and organization
• Summarize medical records, deposition transcripts, and expert reports
• Assist with expert witness coordination , including scheduling, file preparation, and communication
• Maintain case files, calendars, and critical deadlines to ensure compliance with Florida court rules and procedures
• Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and assist with trial logistics and support
• Communicate with clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel professionally and effectively

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a paralegal, with a strong emphasis on medical malpractice or personal injury litigation
• In-depth knowledge of Florida civil litigation procedures and court systems
• Experience handling complex medical records and terminology
• Strong drafting, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating closely with attorneys and staff
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
• Paralegal certification (preferred, but not required)
