Litigation Attorney (Entry-Level, Habitability)

Are you a licensed California attorney interested in expanding your litigation experience and getting into tenant rights and habitability law? We’re looking for attorneys from a variety of legal backgrounds who are interested in joining a growing practice area and advocating for tenants throughout California. Prior habitability experience is not required. We are open to training attorneys who have an interest in this area of law and are eager to learn. About the Role We’re looking for a motivated Tenant Rights/Habitability Litigation Attorney to join our team. You’ll work on plaintiff-side landlord-tenant and habitability matters involving tenants experiencing unsafe or substandard housing conditions. Whether you already have experience in habitability law or are looking to transition into this practice area, our team will provide training and support to help you develop the knowledge and skills needed to handle these cases successfully. Key Responsibilities Manage plaintiff-side tenant rights and habitability cases Conduct legal research and evaluate potential claims Draft complaints, motions, discovery responses, and other litigation documents Handle depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations Advocate for tenants in landlord-tenant and habitability disputes Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff on case strategy Develop knowledge of California housing laws, tenant protections, and habitability standards What We’re Looking For Interest in tenant rights, habitability law, and plaintiff-side litigation Habitability or landlord-tenant experience is a plus, but not required Attorneys from other practice areas who are interested in transitioning into habitability are encouraged to apply Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skills Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment Willingness to learn and grow within the habitability practice area What We Offer Training and mentorship in tenant rights and habitability litigation Opportunity to transition into and build experience in a growing practice area Hands‑on litigation and courtroom experience Supportive, collaborative team environment Competitive salary: $100,000-$150,000 annually + bonuses Health insurance Vision insurance Paid time off 401(k) Schedule & Location 8‑hour shift Monday to Friday In‑person role based in Glendale, CA Must be able to commute or relocate before starting If you’re a licensed California attorney interested in getting into habitability law, we encourage you to apply.
