Sales & Customer Success Manager

At Concord Terrazzo Company, Inc., the sales team is the engine that drives the global consumer reach of our terrazzo business. The Customer Sales Manager will help keep the engine running with their sales skills and team leadership of a driven sales team. This Customer Sales Manager role demands a leader with a sharp mind and the ability to coach, advise, motivate, or replace sales representatives while building and maintaining a high-performance team. The person hired must be aligned with our company’s CORE VALUES. Supervision Received The Customer Sales Manager reports to the President/CEO. Still, they are in a self-motivated role with the latitude to make business decisions within established parameters that align with company strategy. Supervision Exercised This position provides direct oversight of the following positions (regardless of level): Customer Success Manager Quality Control – Color Match Technician Job Duties and Responsibilities Displays internally and externally assertive professional work behavior that aligns with “I Am H.A.R.P.” Honest. Profitable * Represent the company effectively with comprehensive knowledge of our products and services. * Managing organization sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue, and expense controls. * Hire, train, motivate, and advise a team of sales representatives. * Ensure company goals are met by holding daily check‑ins with the sales team to set individual goals and monitor progress. * Create and execute a strategic sales plan to expand our customer base and extend the company’s global reach. * Meet with potential clients and develop long‑lasting relationships that address their needs. * Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop plans for filling them. * Manage the month‑end and year‑end close processes. * Ensure the company has a strategic/tactical plan to pursue new customers, platforms, projects, and programs. * Mentor, train, and coach the customer service, sales team, and other team members in sales and business development. * Create a continuous improvement and problem‑solving culture to drive performance and productivity improvement. * Analyze data and develop metrics and strategies to improve profitability, accountability, and revenue. * Identify and generate new business opportunities through prospecting and networking. * Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients to ensure continued business growth. * Prepare and deliver sales presentations to potential clients. * Negotiate, close, and finalize contracts with clients. * Gather and analyze market and competitor information to improve sales strategies. * Oversee the creation and management of reporting, planning, and auditing for areas of direct responsibility. * The effectiveness in safeguarding information in reports, written materials, or other confidential material/information/conversations. * Follows applicable safety, health, and environmental rules and guidelines. Uses appropriate protective equipment. * Perform other work‑related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, & Skills) A bachelor’s degree from a four‑year accredited college or university in business administration or a related field. Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies. Experience in customer relationship management. Experience in managing and directing a sales team. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders. Dedication to providing excellent customer service. Ability to lead a sales team. Proficiency in CRM systems and practices. Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to think critically in fast‑paced environments. Ability to travel as needed. Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, reliable vehicle, & proof of personal vehicle insurance coverage. Physical / Mental Demands This position involves handling detailed, complex concepts and problems, balancing multiple tasks simultaneously, meeting required deadlines, and making rapid decisions. Requires sitting, standing, walking, carrying, reaching, bending, seeing, speaking, and hearing—the ability to lift 15 pounds. You must be able to distinguish between colors. Working Conditions/Environment Work is typically performed in an office but occasionally in the warehouse, which is not cooled or heated.
