About the Role
A large, global agriculture, food, and industrial solutions organization is seeking a SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) Consultant / Senior EC Configurator to join their HR technology team. Operating across more than 70 countries with a diverse, multi-functional workforce, our client relies on scalable HR systems to support complex global and local employment structures. This role will play a critical part in configuring, maintaining, and enhancing their SuccessFactors Employee Central environment to support enterprise-wide HR operations.
This is a fully remote contract opportunity with standard working hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST. Job Description
The Senior EC Configurator builds, maintains, integrates, and implements software applications within the organization's HR technology landscape. With minimal supervision, this role performs complex software application testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, and support to ensure smooth, stable, and timely implementation of new software and updates to installed applications.
Key responsibilities include:

• Configuring Data Models, including the Corporate Data Model and Succession Data Model.
• Setting up Foundation Objects such as Position, Job Classification, Location, and Pay Structure.
• Managing Position Management configuration and associated workflows.
• Supporting Employee Data, Employment Information, Time, and Global Assignments modules.
• Building Business Rules using MDF, including workflows, triggers, and validations.
• Applying the Event Reason and Event Derivation framework.
• Configuring Role-Based Permissions (RBP).
• Applying deep understanding of HR data models, employment structures, and organizational hierarchies.
• Addressing global vs. local HR requirements, including localization, compliance, and country-specific settings.

Qualifications
Required

• Minimum 5–6 years of SAP SuccessFactors experience.
• Strong expertise in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) configuration and implementation.
• Solid solution architecture and configuration knowledge within Employee Central.
• Hands-on experience with Foundation Object configuration.
• Hands-on experience with Position Management configuration.
• Hands-on experience with Business Rules configuration.
• Hands-on experience with MDF (Metadata Framework).
• Hands-on experience with Workflow configuration.
• Hands-on experience with Role-Based Permissions (RBP).
• Deep understanding of HR data models, employment structures, and organizational hierarchies.
• Knowledge of global vs. local HR requirements, including localization, compliance, and country-specific settings.

Preferred

• 3–4 full-cycle Employee Central implementations.
• Experience with Intelligent Services Center (ISC).
• Strong understanding of Employee Central data structures, organizational hierarchies, and HR processes.
• Ability to provide guidance as a senior-level EC configurator and support implementation/design discussions.
