Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting preferred
- Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher education is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patience, flexibility, and commitment to supporting students with diverse needs
- Background check required per district policy
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with classroom instruction, activities, and supervision
- Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with academic or behavioral needs
- Help adapt materials and lesson plans under teacher guidance
- Support students with special needs by implementing individualized educational plans
- Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, and during activities
- Maintain a positive and encouraging classroom atmosphere
- Track and report student progress and any concerns to appropriate staff
- Uphold school and district policies, ensuring a safe environment for all
