Bookkeeper

Salary: USD26 - USD29 per hour Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll support, and ensuring the financial books are accurate and up to date. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries. Reconcile bank, credit card, and other balance sheet accounts. Prepare and process invoices, payments, and deposits. Assist with payroll processing and payroll-related reporting. Monitor cash flow and report discrepancies. Prepare financial reports and account summaries for management. Maintain vendor and customer records. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures. Support external accountants and auditors as needed. Qualifications Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience. Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to handle confidential financial information. Preferred Qualifications Experience with full-cycle bookkeeping. Payroll processing experience. Experience in a small or mid-sized business environment. Knowledge of month-end close procedures and financial reporting.
