Certified Nurse Midwife

Certified Nurse-Midwife OpportunityNorth Alabama OBGYN Associates, a practice partner of Together Women's Health, is looking for an experienced, full-time Certified Nurse-Midwife to join our practice!Our team of seven physicians, two CNMs, and three CRNPs works closely together to care for women through every stage of life. We deliver at Madison Hospital and see patients at our office just off Balch Road, directly across from the hospital. As our third CNM, you'll practice full-scope midwifery four to five days a week in clinic, with some extended hours, and share a weekday and weekend call rotation with our physician team.Responsibilities:Provides independent and collaborative primary healthcare and management of care to women before, during and after pregnancy, including care of the newbornProvides well-woman and gynecologic visits across the lifespan, including menopause managementConducts comprehensive assessments of patients' health status by taking health histories and performing advanced physical examinations in specialty areaPerforms in-office procedures within your clinical privilegesWrites prescriptions and referals to physicians as neededOrders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests to establish diagnoses and develop a comprehensive treatment planCoordinates the discharge planning process with patients, families, and all members of the multidisciplinary teamSchedules return appointments for follow-up care, as necessary, according to best practice standards of careDetermining the effectiveness of the plan of care through documentation of client outcomesConsults with other specialties and disciplines as appropriate to meet all health care needs of patientsQualifications:Active Alabama Registered Nurse licenseMaster's degree from an ACME-accredited nurse-midwifery programAMCB certification as a Certified Nurse-MidwifeApproval (or eligibility) to practice as a CNM in AlabamaExperience practicing as a CNM, including labor and delivery experience preferredWhy choose a career with North Alabama OBGYN Associates:We practice full scope midwifery in the office.Client autonomy, shared decision-making, and hands on labor support.We enjoy strong collaborative relationships with our doctors and nurses.Competitive CompensationComprehensive benefits package - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance401(k) with generous company matchHospital Credentialing & Malpractice InsuranceFavorable PTO and CME reimbursementAn environment that promotes individual ideas, growth, and collaborationWHY TOGETHER WOMEN'S HEALTH (TWH)?Because we do things a bit differently here.
