Payroll Specialist

We are seeking an experienced High Volume Payroll Specialist to manage weekly payroll processing for up to 1,800 employees in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of payroll experience , with proven expertise in high-volume payroll processing. Prevailing wage experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accurate and timely weekly payroll for up to 1,800 employees.
• Manage employee onboarding and payroll setup, including tax forms and direct deposit enrollment.
• Review, audit, and process employee timecards.
• Administer wage garnishments and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Maintain employee payroll records, tax information, and payroll-related documentation.
• Conduct payroll audits and resolve discrepancies.
• Process employee terminations, including final pay requirements.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and company policies.
• Provide payroll support and respond to employee inquiries.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of payroll experience , including high-volume payroll processing.
• Experience processing payroll for large employee populations (up to 1,800 employees).
• Knowledge of payroll tax regulations, garnishments, direct deposits, and payroll audits.
• Prevailing wage experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
