Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time

Position Overview

Lakeland Health & Fitness is seeking a dedicated and experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic and compassionate team in Grass Valley, California. This full-time position requires an onsite presence, allowing you to engage face-to-face with patients and provide hands-on rehabilitative care. You will work Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, focusing on delivering patient-centered therapy that promotes recovery and improved quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive physical assessments and evaluations to gauge patients' limitations and strengths.
• Developing tailored treatment plans based on each patient's unique needs, goals, and medical history.
• Implementing therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, strengthening exercises, and mobility training.
• Setting clear, measurable objectives to monitor patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Documenting all patient interactions and treatments in accordance with clinic policies and compliance regulations.
• Providing patient education on injury prevention and wellness strategies to facilitate long-term recovery and health.
• Engaging in regular team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and share best practices, enhancing interdisciplinary collaboration.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will primarily focus on working with individuals dealing with orthopedic conditions ranging from acute injuries to chronic pain syndromes. This includes a diverse patient population, including athletes recovering from sports-related injuries, post-operative patients working towards regaining functional mobility, and individuals with musculoskeletal disorders. Your compassionate care will be vital in restoring their physical function and improving their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A current and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of California.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's Degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting (new graduates with relevant clinical rotations are encouraged to apply).
• Proficiency in assessment and manual therapy techniques.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills to guide patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Strong teamwork abilities, demonstrating a collaborative spirit within a healthcare environment.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates who have experience in:

• Utilizing contemporary physical therapy technologies and tools for enhanced patient evaluation.
• Working with a variety of orthopedic cases, including sports injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation.
• Advanced manual therapy techniques, such as myofascial release and joint mobilization.

Compensation and Benefits
