Legal Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Provide litigation support in plaintiff-side employment law matters, including wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination cases
• Draft, format, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence
• Manage case files from intake through resolution
• Coordinate court filings, deadlines, hearings, and depositions
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation and discovery management
• Conduct client intake and maintain regular client communication
• Translate and communicate with Spanish-speaking clients as needed
• Maintain accurate calendars and ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines

• Prior experience as a legal assistant in litigation (employment law experience strongly preferred)
• Hands-on experience in civil litigation, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, many of whom may be Spanish-speaking.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
• Familiarity with civil procedure and court filing systems
• Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced legal team
• Preferred Experience
• Plaintiff-side employment law experience
• Experience handling client-facing responsibilities
• Trial preparation or discovery-heavy litigation background
