Litigation Associate

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney with 1-4 years of experience in medical malpractice defense to join a growing litigation team. This role offers the opportunity to manage cases from inception through trial while working in a collaborative and flexible environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Handle medical malpractice defense cases from initial assignment through trial.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend court hearings and make court appearances.
• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
• Manage discovery and prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.
• 1-4 years of medical malpractice defense litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience handling depositions, motion practice, and court appearances.
• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload while working collaboratively with a team.
