Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics utilizing both standardized tests and observational methodologies.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate goals while ensuring long-term improvements in communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy that focuses on communication modalities, language development, fluency, vocal quality, and swallowing techniques.
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, medical doctors, caregivers, and families, to forge cohesive care plans.
• Provide educational resources for patients and families to support progress in their everyday lives.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, guaranteeing continuity of care throughout each patient's rehabilitation journey.
• Ensure meticulous, prompt documentation following state, federal, and facility protocols.
• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in Speech Language Pathology through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
