Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership & Management
- Supervise, train, schedule, and motivate team.
- Monitor employee performance and provide coaching and ongoing training.
- Assist in hiring and onboarding new team members.
- Ensure adequate staffing for daily production and special events.
- Lead the daily production of desserts, pastries, artisan breads, cakes, cookies, breakfast pastries, and specialty baked goods.
- Ensure all products meet company standards for taste, appearance, consistency, and freshness.
- Prepare custom desserts and specialty items
- Maintain production schedules
- Develop seasonal desserts and specialty offerings.
- Standardize recipes and production procedures to ensure consistency.
- Test and refine recipes for quality and efficiency.
- Manage production for wholesale customers while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Ensure orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Monitor inventory and communicate production needs to purchasing.
- Maintain proper packaging and labeling procedures.
- Monitor ingredient inventory and submit purchasing requests.
- Minimize food waste through proper planning and inventory rotation.
- Help control food and labor costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all ingredients.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Experience in high-volume bakery production, catering, hotel, or fine dining preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cakes, pastries, artisan breads, laminated doughs, chocolates, and plated desserts.
- Ability to manage multiple production schedules simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in recipe costing and production planning is preferred.
