Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed clinical assessments, applying evidence-based practices to develop individualized treatment plans that reflect each client's unique needs. Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other effective techniques to facilitate meaningful healing. Maintain precise and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational standards, ensuring compliance and integrity in all patient interactions. Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary treatment team, which includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and fellow mental health professionals, to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive treatment approach. Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality care. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, equipping them with knowledge about various treatment options and resources available in the community. Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in the mental health field to inform clinical practice and enhance patient care. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including adults, adolescents, and families. Our clients come from varying backgrounds and face numerous challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and relationship issues. Your empathetic approach will be crucial in fostering a supportive therapeutic alliance and promoting healing for each individual. Qualifications A Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution. An active and valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) within New Jersey. Demonstrated ability to apply solution-focused psychotherapy techniques tailored to individual client needs. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for creating impactful relationships with clients and team members. Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability, with a focus on effective care strategies. A collaborative mindset that values teamwork and contributes to a positive work environment. Preferred Experience Prior experience in outpatient mental health settings, particularly with clients facing complex emotional and psychological challenges. Familiarity with digital health records and teletherapy platforms to facilitate remote counseling sessions. Continued professional development through workshops, webinars, or additional certifications related to emerging therapeutic techniques.
